The vivo V23 series has made its debut. What do these smartphones offer, apart from a nice look?

vivo has introduced new smartphones to the Indian market – vivo V23 and V23 Pro. The premiere outside China offers a chance to enter the global, including European, market. So let’s take a moment to take a closer look at these models.

vivo V23 and V23 Pro – specification

The basic model in this series is characterized by quite compact dimensions, as it measures 157.2 × 73.4 × 7.4 mm, and its weight is 181 grams. It is equipped with an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.44 inches, Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. vivo, in the notch type, placed two selfie cameras – 50 Mpix + 8 Mpix ultra wide angle. In order to improve the quality of photos, two mini LEDs have also been added, placed in the upper frame. On the back there is a triple configuration with a 64 Mpix main unit, an 8 Mpix ultra wide angle lens and a 2 Mpix macro lens.

The heart of vivo V23 is the Dimensity 920 processor supported by a maximum of 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of built-in UFS 3.1 memory. The battery has a capacity of 4200 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 44W. There were 5G, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 on board. The smartphone works under the control of Android 12 with the Funtouch OS 12 overlay.

A great thing to mention is the case of this smartphone. It is made of aluminum, and there are glass backs at the back. Normally the device is golden, but under the influence of UV radiation it changes its color to effective shades of green and blue. There is also a variant in classic black.

vivo V23 Pro has a larger, 6.56-inch AMOLED screen also with Full HD + resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate, but it has curved edges. The selfie cameras are the same as the base model, as are the two additional lenses on the back. The main camera has been changed, instead of 64 Mpix, 108 Mpix appears here.

Another processor was also chosen, the V23 Pro will drive the Dimensity 1200 in a maximum configuration of 12/256 GB. The battery is only slightly larger than in the basic model, because it has a capacity of 4300 mAh and also supports fast charging with a power of 44W.

Will both models go to Europe? This is not known. In Poland, we already have one smartphone from the V series, so it is possible that the Indian premiere precedes the global one.
