The announcement of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is just around the corner, and with it the first units of Nvidia’s new top-of-the-range card began to circulate, As always happens, with the appearance of these first units they also began to appear the first leaked photos of the assemblers’ variants, and in this case, the box of the Asus GeForce RTX 3090 Ti TUF was photographed, which also gives us a look at the card.
The photograph provided by IT Home shows us completely the front of the box of this RTX 3090 Ti, and you can also see a second box on the side so the person who took this photograph had access to several units. In this image it is confirmed that the graphic will be called RTX 3090 Ti and not RTX 3090 Super, and we can also see the design of this particular ASUS TUF variant, which has some changes to improve cooling compared to the standard RTX 3090 TUF.
In this comparison made by Videocardz we can see that the heatsink of the RTX 3090 Ti has fans with more blades, and apparently the heatsink is also a bit thicker although it is not well appreciated in the image. Given that rumors mention that by default the RTX 3090 Ti will have a TDP of 450W, and possibly in overclocked editions this number is even higher, improving the heatsink will be key to ensure the correct operation of the card under high loads.
Unfortunately there is no more information on the RTX 3090 Ti outside of the little that can be seen in this image, although we will surely see more leaks in the coming weeks. This card is expected to be announced on January 4 and hits stores on January 27 just like the RTX 3050, so there won’t be too long to learn more about it.
