We had already talked about TinyURL in the Post Url short or much longer and now I propose some tips to use them more frequently and to be sure of the site they are pointing to 🙂
This all assumes that you have already installed the Firefox GreaseMonkey (also used for YouTube Hacks – how to improve YouTube and Google and filtered searches).
With Gmail TinyURL you can use a shortcut (ctrl + shift + t) on the page of GMail and instantly convert a selected url into TinyURL while writing your emails. Very convenient, it avoids opening other unnecessary tabs in the browser and saves time.
If instead your concern is to know where you are going to end by clicking on a short url, install this other Tin Foil Hat script that via tooltip will show you the original url, without connecting to the web page, as you can see from the image next to this post.
