MOSCOW, 8 Sep — PRIME. British Prime Minister Liz Truss said at a meeting of Parliament that she would lift the ban on gas production in the country by hydraulic fracturing, criticized by environmentalists.

“We will lift the moratorium on the extraction of our huge reserves of shale gas (using the fracking method), which will allow us to get gas in six months,” she said.
Earlier, the prime minister announced her intention to promote gas production by fracking, including in the North Sea, although a ban was imposed on it in November 2019 due to the risk of seismic activity.
