Twitter is testing a new feature on the Brazilian market that it expects self-destruction of tweets within 24 hours with the aim – according to the company – to give users less pressure and more control over their outsourcing. The called functionality Fleets.

The microblogging platform illustrated it in a official post where he explains that the Fleets, available in Brazil for iOS and Android, will have a duration of one day and cannot be commented on, re-tweeted or subject to likes. The Fleets will be visible from all contacts who can see the profile.
If you are thinking of the equivalent of Instagram and Snapchat stories he had seen right: in this case for the Fleets they will be mainly textual, although there will still be the possibility of including GIFs, photographs or videos as in a normal Tweet. In order to be able to reply to a Fleet, direct messaging must be used.
According to Twitter's preliminary survey, it appears that the public is more comfortable sharing opinions and thoughts more frequently using a feature like Fleets. If the experiment were to succeed it could also be extended to other markets.
