Ubisoft announces Rainbow Six Mobile for Android and iOS

Rainbow Six Mobile

Ubisoft joins the fashion of launching Triple A games on mobile devices with the Rainbow Six Mobile, which he hopes will reap the same popularity as its version for PC and consoles. For this, I could not miss a visual level on the roof of the mobile industrytwo game modes at launch: Bank and Borderwith a third still in development, access to a total of 10 agents divided into 5 agents from the defending side and 5 from the attacking side, and as a negative point, it is still in the Pre-Alpha phase, so you need a Ubisoft account to be able to have the possibility of registering to be one of the first to try it.

Hello!

We have already announced today that our team is working on a new title called Rainbow Six Mobile. We have a lot of love for this project, and we are happy to share with you more details about our game in the first post of this blog.

Let’s start at the beginning: It’s no secret that we’re STUDENT Rainbow Six Siege fans. Our idea is to bring the Rainbow Six universe to mobile and allow more people around the world to enjoy this competitive, tactical and immersive FPS experience whenever and however they want. We feel very fortunate that the mobile market has evolved to the point where we can develop such an ambitious game that we love to play.

The development team behind the production of Rainbow Six Mobile is based in Montreal. Although we share the office with our colleagues from the Siege team, we are a unique independent team made up of veterans of AAA titles on consoles and mobile. We are a team built from the ground up that is solely and exclusively focused on developing Rainbow Six Mobile. Siege players have nothing to fear – the Siege development team remains 100% committed to their great game.

At first glance, a lot of people might see Rainbow Six Mobile and think that it’s a lot like Siege, which is kind of cool. But at its core, Rainbow Six Mobile is a tactical, competitive FPS with two teams of 5: attacking side and defending side. While the core gameplay, characters, and maps have many similarities to Siege, we’ve rebuilt everything from the ground up with mobile usability in mind. We’ve done a lot of work to adapt the Siege experience for mobile devices, including a whole new gameplay control system and extensive optimization of the user interface and in-game visuals.

Finally, we wanted to say a few words to Siege fans: our goal is not to stop you from playing on PC or consoles and go to mobile. We know there’s nothing like the adrenaline rush of a big-screen Siege match, or the precision of your mouse and keyboard. Since we can’t lug around the monitor everywhere, Rainbow Six Mobile will give you the opportunity to play the game you love in short, accessible moments while giving millions of new players the R6 experience.

After three years of development, we think now is the right time to announce the game and start testing it with real players. Our goal is to develop the best R6 experience on mobile, and we can only achieve this with the help of the community. And frankly, the team can’t wait to get the game into the hands of users.

In the coming weeks we’ll kick off the first of many rounds of testing, and ask for your feedback on how we can improve the game.
