All of this is part of standardized updates that seem to cover the entire range of the device’s capabilities – from Steam and operating system software to hardware-level fixes for the firmware. The most important functions definitely include introducing the possibility of a PIN lock and setting an unlimited number of FPS and ensuring compliance with fTPM for Windows 11 installations.

In addition, Valve took care of the appropriate localization for 21 languages in the case of the system keyboard, added support for multi-window applications, extended working time on a single charge and improved system stability. Some of the changes also widened Steam Deck compatibility with accessories such as chargers, Type-C docking stations and SD cards.
