We compare the Xbox Series X and PC lag, so what reacts faster to our movements?

After we checked the NVIDIA Reflex technology, one of our readers (thanks Kurasiok!) Decided to help us answer the question of what reacts faster to our movements – a computer or a next-generation gaming console. Thanks to this, we know how the Xbox Series X and PC lag is different.

We got to know the Xbox Series X and PC lag

Most players naturally don’t care if the game responds to our command within 10 or maybe 20 milliseconds. However, as our NVIDIA Reflex test pointed out, the PC differences between how quickly a virtual weapon will fire when you press the trigger (click the mouse button) has shown the game to be worth the candle. It also aroused curiosity in one of our readers which equipment will turn out to be better in a direct comparison of a personal computer and an Xbox Series X.

He provided us with the results of his tests, in which he used the Xbox Series X console and a PC capable of launching Fortnite in liquidity at the level of 120 FPS. He connected both devices to the LG27GL850 monitor with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and using the sound signature (clicking the modified, same mouse) and the slow-motion screen recording, he developed materials answering the question posed in the title.

He provided us with repeated measurements in the form of graphs and consecutive frames that show directly the moment of clicking and the moment of the shot (the reaction of the game). Based on this, we can conclude that the delay on the PC was 52 milliseconds, and on the Xbox Series X less, 44 ms.

In addition, the test of the wireless mouse on Xbox showed that we should abandon the widespread fear and aversion to them, because although the delay with it is higher, it is only 65 ms.
