2. WAN: Wide Area Network.

The difference of this network is marked by the distance: It seeks to cover greater connection range than the previous network. So, look for the same communication optimization goal between all devices; but proposing a much more global scope that can range from a country to a continent.

3. PAN: Personal Area Network y VPN: Virtual Private Network.

Speaking of other types of networks, the PAN is one of the most common; since it is about the exchange of data between devices at a very short distance, a fact that is achieved through services such as Bluetooth.
