What is Qtum (QTUM)?
Qtum (QTUM) is a blockchain that aims to “provide smart contract template notebooks for socio-technical implementation compliance, adoption of formal semantics language expression, and fast best practice industry deployment”.
It combines the blockchain with the use of the Account Abstraction Layer, the UTXO model with the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism.
Additionally, Qtum allows multiple virtual machines such as Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and x86 VM and supports various programming languages including C, C ++, Rust, and Python.
The QTUM token is required to fuel the transaction at Qtum and therefore acts as a kind of “gas”.
