Quantum Mini LED backlight
Neo QLED brings us a completely new light source – Quantum Mini LED diodes, which include thousands of LEDs allowing for faithful and detailed reproduction of images while maintaining precise control over the backlight. This translates into more details, precision, contrast and detail. The secret of such a small size Quantum Mini LED is the microlayer technology developed by Samsung, the effect of which is the elimination of unnatural noise and a deep, glare-free blackness.

This technology uses an improved luminance scale of up to 12 bits to provide better control of the backlight source, Quantum Mini LEDs. This control covers a whopping 4096 levels, so it is four times more precise than conventional televisions with 10-bit gradation. What does this mean for customers? The AI Neo Quantum 8K processor also includes specialized content scaling models based on various aspects such as resolution, edge values, detail and noise.
