There Windows 10 20H1 RTM build, known as Windows 10 2004, was released already last December despite the final version not expected before next spring. Several cumulative updates followed between the first RTM build and the public release, with the new approach that should allow Microsoft to offer a stable update as if it were a feature update supported for months.
The installation of the build RTM it was only possible through Windows Update for users of the Insider program, however starting from a few hours Microsoft released the ISO for installation from scratch. Specifically, the are now available for download Windows 10 build 19041 ISO on the Insider download page, listed within the Fast and Slow channels. At the time of writing, there are no ISOs available for vNext builds.
To date, the only method to download the new ISO is through the download page of the official website of the Insider program. It is very likely that the same builds will arrive within the Media Creation Tool, but not before they are available to the general public. Windows 10 20H1, the news
The new version of the operating system will have several news, many more than the November 2019 Update which was little more than a cumulative update. We will have a more control over optional updates, a more accurate interface for the Cortana voice assistant, especially in typing requests with text mode and a mode Cloud Download as for the options for reinstalling Windows: instead of recovering data from a local drive the system will download the most updated version from the internet automatically, and install it on the computer.
The user can also set lband imitations as regards the download of updates both in the background and not, while – among the most important news – we will have the new Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), in "version 2", which will use a real Linux kernel and not an emulation (therefore it will be more versatile, functional and performing), without requiring additional configurations as it has been necessary to date.
We will then have a more advanced search mode with a more effective and less invasive indexing, and in the "Task management" screen we will have the storage units marked by type (HDD or SSD, for example). Activity management it will also report the temperature of the GPUs installed on the machine, when compatible, and we will also have a slightly revised tablet mode with new elements in the interface.
There will also be other news: a counter FPS on Xbox Game Bar, a "passwordless" access mode, the ability to rename virtual desktops, more precise network information, integrated support for network cameras, greater control to restart apps at log-in, the ability to choose whether to delete items in the Downloads folder with Disk Cleanup, Paint and WordPad will become optional, new DirectX 12 feature and other news.
