We are all waiting for the new update with Windows 10 features (the activation key can be purchased today for less than € 10), however development on current versions of Microsoft's operating system has certainly not stopped. On the occasion of the usual Patch Tuesday, which takes place on the second Tuesday of each month, the company has released new cumulative patches on all versions still supported. Here are builds and update packages that will receive the various SKUs of the Redmond operating system.

  • Windows 10 November 2019 Update (1909): build 18363.778 (KB4549951)

Three main novelties of these update packages:

  • Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.
  • Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.

Microsoft claims there are no known issues on new builds, however it recommends install the latest Servicing Stack Update (SSU) before installing the patch. The SSU of which we speak, recognizable with the KB4552152, it should be proposed automatically via Windows Update but, if exceptionally this is not the case, it can be downloaded at this address.

Also Windows 10 1809 is updated during Patch Tuesday, with the same fixes as above. Microsoft originally planned to end support for Home and Pro users next month, but due to the coronavirus pandemic monthly patches will continue to be released on Windows 10 1809 until November 12, 2020. In addition, Microsoft announced today it will stop the automatic update to the latest version of Windows 10 for all those who currently use the Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

We also report that Microsoft has released updates to the Patch Tuesday of April also for Windows 10 1803, 1709, 1703, 1607 and 1507, but in this case only for users of the Education and Enterprise versions. Find more details in the links above.

Microsoft also launched one new version of Windows 10 20H1, the next major version expected in the first half of the year. Windows 10 20H1 19041.207 has arrived on the Slow Channel and is a quality update: therefore, it does not include new features. Many expected the release of the new version in the stable channel, therefore for all users, just on the occasion of the Patch Tuesday in April, however the launch of a new build on the Slow Channel suggests that the company is not yet fully ready to roll -out final of the new feature update.
