Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 Lite 5G official in Italy: here are the prices

Xiaomi has officially announced the Mi 10 smartphone range. We are talking about an important step for the Chinese company, since it marks the company's true landing in the field of 5G (Mi Mix 3 was a sort of "first step"). In addition, this family of devices carries a very important number.
That 10 not only represents the company's tenth anniversary, celebrated in January 2020, but also refers to the champion, the number 10 football player. In conclusion, Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 Lite 5G they want to represent a turning point, a grand entrance into the new era of connectivity.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, the power "monster"

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is the top of the range, that device that will be chosen by those who do not want to compromise. The components under the body include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor operating at a maximum frequency of 2.84 GHz, flanked by an Adreno 650 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal memory. For the uninitiated, this is a configuration that places Mi 10 Pro in the top area of the ranking of the most powerful Android smartphones. In short, in terms of performance there is very little to say: Xiaomi wanted to aim for the top.
Think about that the score recorded on AnTuTu Benchmark is 602,660. To "keep at bay" this brute force, the Chinese company has implemented an advanced cooling system, based on vapor chamber and 6-layer graphene plate. According to Xiaomi, the surface of the vapor chamber has been increased by 251% and this solution is able to reduce the CPU temperature by 13/15 degrees. The glass backcover of the smartphone has an interesting matte treatment, which the "basic" variant does not have.

As for the display, it is present a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels), 19.5: 9 aspect ratio, hole for the camera positioned at the top left, rather contained edges and a refresh rate of 90 Hz (touch refresh rate of 180 Hz). There is also support for HDR10 + and the DCI-P3 range, while the peak brightness reaches 1200 nits, according to the Chinese company. It is a new generation panel made by Samsung, which aims to make it easy to view content even in conditions of external brightness.

In this regard, the Chinese company has informed us that two sensors are used, one front and one rear, to make the automatic brightness more precise. Summing up, Xiaomi wanted to focus a lot also on the screen, adopting a panel that seems, at least on paper, to be able to offer at the same time a good general visual quality and that extra fluidity guaranteed by the high refresh rate.

However, the specifications to keep an eye on certainly do not end here, given that Xiaomi Mi 10 also implements a photographic sector that does not look bad in front of that of the competition. We find in fact a quadruple rear camera consisting of a 108MP primary sensor (Samsung HMX, f / 1.69, 8P) + 20MP (f / 2.2, wide angle, 117 degrees) + 8MP (f / 2.0, OIS, telephoto, 10x hybrid zoom, digital zoom up to 50x) + 12MP (f / 2.0, for Portrait mode).
The support for .heic (photo) and .hevc (video) formats is interesting, which allow you to save memory space without losing quality. There is also the possibility to record videos in 8K at 30 fps.

Xiaomi has also worked on the level of artificial intelligence, which is now able to improve the shots in a more "smart" way. Do not underestimate the Night Mode 2.0, which reduces noise and guarantees more details. The front camera is 20MP (f / 2.0) and is capable of recording videos at 1080p / 30fps and slow motion at 720p / 120fps. As for autonomy, Mi 10 Pro has one 4500 mAh battery with 50W cable charging support, while the wireless one reaches 30W. Do not miss the 5W reverse wireless charging.
A 65W charger will be included in the package, but for safety reasons the charging via cable takes place at 50W. However, Xiaomi wants to offer the user a 360-degree experience and has therefore decided to insert this charger anyway, which can also be used with other devices.

For the rest, the Chinese company has focused heavily on the audio sector, implementing stereo speakers, which guarantee greater immersiveness even in gaming. There is also support for the latest generation of connectivity, from Wi-Fi 6 to 5G, via Bluetooth 5.1, the USB Type-C port and NFC. The operating system is Android 10 with MIUI 11 customization.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will be available in Alpine White and Solstice Gray colors at price of 999.99 euro (8 / 256GB). Given the current situation, sales will initially start only through the official channels of Xiaomi and Mi Store Italia, on Amazon and on the portals of the major distribution chains. The arrival in physical stores is expected later.
The pre-orders will start on March 28 and will continue until April 6, 2020. Those who pre-order Mi 10 Pro in this period will get the Mi Smart Sensor Set as a free gift. Furthermore, those who purchase the smartphone between April 7 and May 6, 2020 will have access to a Premium after-sales service. The latter includes the possible replacement of the device in case of hardware failure and free repair, only once, in the event of a damaged screen. This at an authorized Xiaomi service center present in Italy and within the period provided by the warranty.

Xiaomi Mi 10, the "standard" model

The "standard" model of the range, Xiaomi Mi 10, differs from the Pro variant above all for the lack of the matte finish of the backcover, for the photographic sector and for the battery. In fact, here we find a quadruple rear camera consisting of a 108MP primary sensor (Samsung HMX, f / 1.69, 7P), a 13MP wide-angle lens (f / 2.4, 123 degrees), a 2MP macro lens (f / 2.4 ) and a 2MP depth of field sensor (f / 2.4). The battery is 4780 mAh with 30W charging support, both wired and wireless.

Xiaomi Mi 10 is sold at a price of 799.99 euros in the 8 / 128GB variant, while the 8 / 256GB model costs 899.99 euros.
By pre-ordering the smartphone, you can get the new Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 as a free gift. The promotion linked to the Premium assistance service that we illustrated above is also valid here.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, the pleasant surprise

Hardly anyone expected it, but Xiaomi also officially presented a third smartphone. We refer to Mi 10 Lite 5G, a device that enters the new era of connectivity and that will be sold in Italy at a starting price of 399.99 euros. At the moment we have no further information regarding the effective availability date, but we will keep you informed.
The peculiar feature is clearly the support for 5G: Mi 10 Lite 5G has the great task of bringing this connectivity to the mid-range and does it at a price that could appeal to many.

As for the technical characteristics, we find a 6.57-inch TrueColor AMOLED display, a quadruple rear camera with 48MP main sensor and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with X52 modem, flanked by 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 / 128GB of internal UFS 2.1 memory. The battery is 4160 mAh with 20W charging support. Surely we are talking about an intriguing smartphone, which will have its say on the market.
