YouTube is working on even more control over comments. Will there be less spam under the videos?

We know perfectly well that the comment sections under YouTube videos can be a garbage dump. It is not even about negative entries and plain hate, but about a huge amount of spam that makes it difficult to get to these important comments.

Of course, the creator can turn off the possibility of commenting, but this will reduce the viewers’ involvement in the material. The website offers various tools to help you deal with the flood of unnecessary comments, but they are not very effective. It turns out that work on a new method of deleting such entries is already underway. Creator Brownlee Brandswho pointed out to YouTube a while ago that something should be done about “out of control” spam, noted that there was a new choice for creators.

It allows stricter filtering of inappropriate comments that will then be checked by an algorithm that combines machine learning and human judgment. YouTube spokesman Ivy Choi, in an interview with The Verge, admitted that spamming tactics are still evolving and that the website must constantly adapt its methods of filtering the comment sections. For now, the new feature is in the testing phase, so it is not known when it will be available to all users.
