A leak from TENAA reveals to us the specification of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

We have been hearing about the Galaxy A53 5G since October, because the smartphone appears in many leaks. Now, however, we get practically all its specifications, because the device has been certified by the Chinese organization TENAA.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G specification

Thanks to TENAA, as well as previous leaks, we already have a detailed picture of what the new member of the Galaxy A family will have to offer. Samsung will equip this model with an octa-core processor with a maximum clock frequency of 2.4 GHz. TENAA does not specify the chipset, but the Galaxy A53 5G has already appeared in Geekbench, from which we know that it will be powered by the Exynos 1200, supported by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of built-in memory. It is worth mentioning that some sources indicate that the smartphone will hit some markets with a different processor. The battery is to have a capacity of about 5000 mAh, but the supported charging power remains unknown.

Galaxy A53 5G will be equipped with a 6.46-inch display with Full HD + resolution, probably AMOLED, because although TENAA does not specify it, the smartphone is to be equipped with a built-in fingerprint reader. When it comes to cameras, we know that there will be five cameras on board (TENAA indicates a double configuration on the front – but the photos attached to the certification contradict this). The selfie camera is to have 12 Mpix, while on the back there will be a 64 Mpix main unit, a 32 Mpix lens and two lenses of 5 Mpix each. However, this may be a mistake, because other sources indicate a different configuration – a 32 Mpix selfie camera, and on the back 64Mpix + 12 Mpix + 5 Mpix + 5 Mpix. This arrangement seems more likely.

The smartphone is 8.1 mm thick and weighs 190 grams. It will run under Android 12, and it will come to the market in at least four colors – white, blue, black and orange. The release date is still unknown, but sources point to the end of the first quarter of this year.
