The developers behind Rise of the Tomb Raider have partnered with Nvidia during the development to take advantage of the graphics giant’s graphics technology. Nvidia was also out early with optimized drivers, something that was noticed in SweClocker’s performance tests. Now AMD will be working on its optimized ditto for Radeon chips.
According to developer Nixxes, a Dutch studio responsible for the PC porting of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the optimizations will be included in version 16.1.1 of AMD’s Crimson drivers. The information comes from the support department of the Steam forum and is also confirmed by AMD to OC3D.
When AMD’s optimized drive ruin arrives, it is not clear, but the company announces briefly that they will return when they have more information to share.
