AMD Radeon R9 370 with “Trinidad Pro” leaks online

During GDC 2015, Nvidia surprised with the announcement of the Geforce GTX Titan X, which is expected to see the light of day soon. Although the graphics giant has recently launched most models in the Geforce GTX 900 series, it is still quiet from rival AMD, which remains on the 1.5-year-old Radeon 200 series.

At the heart of all AMD – related rumors is the Fiji graphics processor, the next flagship to be expected to be the first to have HBM-type stacked memory. Another circuit that has been circulating for a long time is Trinidad, which is expected to replace Pitcairn / Curacao in today’s Radeon R9 270 and R9 270X.

Now Videocardz claims that they have got specifications XFX Radeon R9 370 Core Edition (R9-370-ENF), which is said to house the Trinidad Pro. The fact that it is named with the suffix Pro suggests that there will also be a Radeon R9 370X with Trinidad XT, where the number of stream processors and texture units is probably higher. However, no details are available about either one or the other.

According to documents 2, the Radeon R9 370 with Trinidad Pro receives alternatively 4 GB of GDDR5 via a 256-bit memory bus, which suggests that it replaces Curacao. Perhaps most interesting is that the graphics card gets a 6-pin PCI Express and power consumption of 110 to 130 W, compared to 150 and 180 W for R9 270 and R9 270X respectively.

According to the report, the Radeon R9 370 is scheduled for launch in early April, which goes against previous information that the entire Radeon 300 series will be released to Computex.
