AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 gets performance figures

It is blowing up to storm the graphics card market when AMD presents fresh models based on the new architecture Vega. Specifically, these are two variants called Radeon RX Vega 56 and RX Vega 64, where the figures are based on the number of calculation clusters (CUs) they are equipped with.

Now an industrial source for Tweaktown can reveal performance tests for the Radeon RX Vega 56 in four modern games, where it is set against Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 1070 in approximately the same price range. All tests were reportedly run in 2,560 x 1,440 pixels together with an Intel Core i7-7700K in standard frequency.

In the result, the Radeon RX Vega 56 is consistently at the top of the podium, where the biggest difference is measured in Battlefield 1. If similar results are replicated in several games on the market, it would then mean an advantage for the Radeon RX Vega 56 both in terms of price and game performance compared with Geforce GTX 1070.
