AMD Radeon RX Vega from partner manufacturers may be delayed until November

Earlier this year, hardware manufacturer AMD launched its new graphics architecture Vega with the two new models Radeon RX Vega 56 and RX Vega 64. This was the company’s return in the performance class for graphics cards as these go up against Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 1070 and Geforce GTX 1080.

However, the two models were pulled with problems, mainly when it comes to sound level and heat generation, which is why many enthusiasts are waiting for models from partner manufacturers. Now Hardware.fr reports that these may be delayed as long as November this year.

The answer from manufacturers is stated to be that many do not yet have any information to go out with, while one states that they can not start delivering their own cards until mid-October at the earliest. This is because they have not yet received any information from AMD regarding when they get Vega 10 circuits to start manufacturing their own models.

This is believed to be related to previous reports that production of the Radeon RX Vega 64 will be limited until October, where the reason is stated to be poor yield with few working circuits during manufacture. This is due to problems with integrating HBM2 memory and graphics circuit on the same substrate.

Today, only Asus has announced its own model of Radeon RX Vega with the company’s ROG Strix coolers, but these have not yet appeared at retailers. They are expected to be first on the market sometime during the month of September, but no exact launch date and price have yet been announced.
