In the run-up to the sharp version of the Catalyst 12.9 driver package, AMD is releasing new application profiles for games in Crossfire. The new Catalyst 12.9 CAP1 mainly contains corrections and optimizations for the World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, but also provides better performance in Tribes Ascend and F1 2012.
World of Warcraft – Mists of Pandaria (DX11, DX9): Solves problems with flashing textures at “high” graphics setting and Crossfire enabled
World of Warcraft – Mists of Pandaria (DX9): Solves graphics problems with anti-aliasing through the Catalyst Control Center (AA must be enabled in the application settings)
World of Warcraft (DX9): Resolves issues with the 64-bit version of the game client
Tribes Ascend: Improved performance in Crossfire
F1 2012: Improved performance in Crossfire. Also solves problems with flashing textures in reflections.
The update is available as a regular download from AMD’s website.
