Asrock updates the Radeon RX 5600 XT with higher memory frequencies

In connection with AMD’s launch of the Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card earlier this year, there was confusion about the speeds at which the graphics card’s memory was actually driven. 2060, to which AMD responded with increased frequencies on both the graphics card and its memory.

The memory frequency 14,000 MHz proposed by AMD quickly encountered patrol, where for example MSI went out and claimed that they could not guarantee that the increased frequencies work flawlessly on all Radeon RX 5600 XT, as many GDDR6 modules were specified to 12,000 MHz.

The competitor and relative newcomer to the graphics card market Asrock did not make much of an impact at the launch of the Radeon RX 5600 XT, but the company is today releasing official updates of VBIOS to meet AMD’s recommended memory frequencies. In short, the update offers higher performance using raised and validated GDDR6 frequencies of 14,000 MHz.

RX 5600 XT Phantom Gaming D3 6G OC, RX 5600 XT Phantom Gaming D2 6G OC and RX 5600 XT Challenger D 6G OC graphics cards will support 14G bps memory clock to enhance gaming performance.

The updated VBIOS is available from today for all three Asrocks Radeon RX 5600 XT-based graphics cards. They can be downloaded from the company’s support page as well as on the graphics cards’ respective product pages.
