ASUS announced the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Megalodon graphics cards

The Taiwanese company ASUS should expand its range of Ampere generation graphics cards in the near future. As part of the Megalodon line, it announced two new accelerators: the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and the GeForce RTX 3070.

The graphics cards will receive an air cooling system with three fans and will look similar to the models in the ROG Strix line. At the same time, future novelties should be significantly cheaper. True, the cost has not yet been specified.

ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Megalodon will receive three DisplayPort outputs and one HDMI. To provide power, one 8-pin connector in the younger model will be used. Perhaps the older version will receive two connectors, but this is only a guess.

The video cards will go on sale in the Chinese market in February this year. The Taiwanese company has not yet disclosed any data on GPU frequencies.

Recall that both models are based on the 8nm GA104 chip manufactured by Samsung. The reference graphics accelerator NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 has 5888 stream processors and 46 ray tracing cores. The GPU is connected to 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit bus. The effective memory frequency is 14 GHz and the bandwidth is 448 GB / sec. The video chip operates at a frequency from 1500 MHz to 1725 MHz.

The reference variant of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is also equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a bandwidth of 448 GB / s. The nominal GPU frequency is reduced to 1410 MHz, and the Boost frequency is reduced to 1665 MHz. The chip has 4864 CUDA cores and 38 ray tracing cores
