Where compact computer systems were previously synonymous with compromises and poor performance, this is now a thing of the past. Major investments have been made by both component manufacturers and chassis makers to enable the construction of really small power packages for cramped enthusiasts or gamers on the go. Among shrunken motherboards in Mini ITX size and custom chassis, however, there is one area that has fallen behind – the graphics cards.
Today’s high – performance graphics cards are simply too large for compromises not to be made on the chassis front in smaller buildings, something that Taiwanese Asus believes has the solution. The answer is spelled Geforce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini, a card in the upper performance class with a length of only 17 centimeters.
