Leaks regarding Nvidia’s graphics cards in the upcoming Geforce RTX 3000 series have been dripping lately, where detailed renderings have appeared, among other things. However, the leaks have one thing in common – they have dealt with graphics cards of the company’s reference design. Now, however, a leak from none other than Asus emerges, with pictures representing the model GeForce RTX 3080 Ti ROG Strix.

The information, with Videocardz as sender, is based on a simple image representing a graphics card with triple fans and empty ROG logos, as well as the text “3080 Ti”. Above the picture is also the text “Next generation ROG Strix”. Both Videocardz and Wccftech speculate that the leak may indicate that the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti will be the top model in the series, and that the infamous RTX 3090 may be missing.

It is already rumored that the top model in the Geforce Ampere lineup is equipped with 5,248 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR6X memory in 21,000 MHz, a big step up from today’s RTX 2080 Ti. Geforce RTX 2080 Ti, on the other hand, gets a sequel in an Ampere suit called RTX 3080 with the same number of CUDA cores and 10 GB of graphics memory.

The launch date for the next generation of graphics chips from Nvidia is still unknown, but that partner cards are ready is an indication as good as any that both the market and manufacturers are ready for a not too distant launch.
