It was recently reported that several third-party graphics card manufacturers are changing the name in favor of Nvidia’s partner program Geforce Partner Program (GPP). According to information, the program prohibits its members from using the same brand for graphics cards based on Nvidia’s and AMD’s circuits, which is in line with the changes seen at several manufacturers.
The renowned component maker Asus is now unveiling an AMD Radeon-specific product line called Arez, which rumors have previously talked about. On the company’s website, a number of models have now been introduced in the new series. At the forefront is the Vega-based top model Radeon RX Vega 64, but older cards such as the Radeon R7 240 have also been included.
Asus previously used the brand Republic of Gamers (ROG) for game-oriented products, but hereby excludes AMD-based graphics cards. Remains, however, make names such as Strix and Dual and apart from the name, the Arez variants are identical to the previous ditto. Graphics cards marked Arez are expected to hit the market in May.
