Blockchain has become one of the highest paid industries in Canada

The Canadian Digital Chamber of Commerce has conducted a study according to which the salaries in the blockchain industry are among the highest in the country.

Researchers conducted an analysis of the blockchain ecosystem in Canada and made conclusions about the state of the industry, as well as about the benefits that technology provides and the regulatory documents that it needs. The study involved more than 150 companies involved in the development of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, educational institutions and the government of Canada.

One of the most important requirements of the blockchain industry representatives was transparent regulation of the industry and government support. Blockchain Research Institute (BRI) Chairman Don Tapscott emphasized:

“The study showed that blockchain companies in Canada continue to grow in a variety of ways. However, it also revealed problems associated with access to finance and business services, as well as with an uncertain regulatory position. ”

In addition, analysts pointed out the insufficient number of courses on blockchain training and the lack of support from banks and audit companies. At the same time, according to the study, Canada is great for becoming the world leader in distributed registry technology.

The average annual salary in the blockchain industry in Canada was $ 98,000. Thus, specialists in distributed registry technology are on the list of the highest paid professions. Tanya Woods, Managing Director of Digital Chamber of Canada, said:

“Canada’s Ecosystem of Innovation offers the best talent policy for distributed ledger technology. This can be used to create a global blockchain center. Definitely, our ecosystem provides tremendous opportunities for those interested in working in this area. ”

Recall that, as reported in mid-July, Canadian regulators plan to develop a regulatory framework for the blockchain.
