Boerse Stuttgart has opened crypto regulated OTC office

Boerse Stuttgart, Germany’s second largest stock exchange, has opened a regulated OTC trading office for digital assets.

Trading began today on the Boerse Stuttgart Digital Exchange (BSDEX), a fully regulated digital asset exchange in accordance with German Banking Law. Currently, BSDEX is trading a single pair, bitcoin-euro.

The exchange has announced that it intends to launch a fully regulated cryptocurrency platform, initially planned for launch in the first half of 2019.

BSDEX is currently available to German retail and institutional investors, and will subsequently expand its services throughout the European Union. Like other cryptocurrency exchanges, trading will be open almost 24/7. Boerse Stuttgart said it plans to add trading pairs in euros, ethereum, litecoin and XRP this year and tokenized assets in 2020.

“The cryptocurrency market is worth billions, and more digital assets will emerge based on the blockchain. Our goal is to build the most important European trading venue for these assets ”

Boerse Stuttgart has opened BSDEX in collaboration with SolarisBank, which will process payments and provide custody for euro funds.

“BSDEX will offer retail and institutional investors direct access to digital assets and will offer flexible trading at relatively low costs. We believe that the blockchain will result in significant changes in the financial industry and we want to exploit our potential to create the trading venue for the future ”,

A year ago, Boerse Stuttgart announced the launch of a platform dedicated to ICOs and more recently started trading XRP based litecoins and ETNs.
