Brad Garlinghouse against Dutchman: Ripple (XRP) no longer crawls, we walk

One of the advantages of a young industry is that the lines are short and even CEOs are approachable. Dennis Horstman-Maasen, better known under his Twitter pseudonym Zerpenator and self-proclaimed XRP Hodler, put on the bad shoes and sent a message to Brad Garlinghouse. And to his surprise, a response from the CEO of Ripple did not take long.

Zerpenator shared this message in all his enthusiasm on Twitter, but to his surprise the message was received with skepticism. The responses do not lie, the message would have been fabricated. The best way to prove the legitimacy of the message is with a video.

Hey @AlexCobb_ here is the video I made about the tweet. Hope you will see it is legit. #xrp #xrpthestandard #xrpcommuni pic.twitter.com/RaMnSIK1pQ

Crawl, walk, run

In the short conversation between Zerpenator and Garlinghouse, the Dutchman says he is happy with the progress of Ripple. He thanks everyone for their work and shares the feeling that Ripple is running. The statement that Ripple “runs” seems to be a reaction to an earlier statement by the CEO of Ripple. He often talks about three phases: crawling, walking and then running.

Garlinghouse confirms this in his answer by saying that Ripple is slowly moving from crawling to walking. Moreover, he also says that he is looking forward to an adjustment of the market dominance of bitcoin (which is now 70 percent). Market dominance should reflect tangible progress. It seems as if he means that XRP will steal the market from bitcoin.

XRP stays behind

Unlike the Ripple and xRapid companies, the XRP currency is lagging behind. Almost all coins in the top ten are growing steadily this year, but the XRP rate is disappointing. For XRP holders, it is to be hoped that the next phase will also ensure a better price trend. In any case, the facts are hopeful: more than twenty financial institutions work with xRapid.

On January 1, 2019, XRP was still worth 30 cents. That is also the average for the entire year. The exchange rate rose to 42 cents on 23 June, but at the time of writing, XRP is worth 25 cents. That is fifteen percent lower than how XRP started the year.

But are you looking at the long term? In other words, are you an XRP hodler of the first hour? Then you are in the right place. Below the Return On Investment of Ripple’s currency.
