At the end of November, the e-sports competition World Cyber Games 2012 kicks off in China. Graphics card maker Colorful is charging up for the big event with a new Geforce GTX 660 Ti, which does not look like anything else.
The graphics card in the picture is called Colorful Geforce GTX 660 Ti World Cyber Games Limited Edition and is based exactly as the name suggests on Nvidia’s graphics processor GK104 with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 192-bit memory bus, ie nothing out of the ordinary. What sets the model apart from the crowd, however, is the large and colorful radiator.
The newcomer is equipped with a solid heat sink that not only covers the circuit board itself but also protrudes above and at the rear edge. A total of nine heat pipe pipes with a diameter of six millimeters and two large axial fans can be included. Anyone who is not satisfied with aluminum flanges can also look forward to a copper version in the making.
Colorful’s products are currently not available for purchase in Sweden and this particular model is also in a limited edition, which indicates that a very limited number of graphics cards will be produced. No price information is known.
