Startup ConsenSys, developing the Ethereum ecosystem, announced the launch of the application on the Ethereum blockchain Trusat, designed to track satellite trajectories and fight space debris.
The application will rely on its users – they will track satellites in the night sky and record their coordinates. It will also show the user when and in which part of the sky to look in order to see a passing satellite.
“The number of satellites in Earth orbit has increased 25 times. They give us access to the technologies that we use every day, but satellites are facing a collision with space debris. TruSat is designed to create a trusted system of satellite orbits around the world – a free and affordable resource, ” statement
ConsenSys.
Using Ethereum will create an open, autonomous system that is resistant to inaccurate data. Users will be confident that they can trust the algorithms and data stored in TrueSat.
Almost a year ago, startup ConsenSys announced
on the acquisition of the space company Planetary Resources.
