“Gazprom” announced a record profit for the first half of the year under IFRS

MOSCOW, August 30 – PRIME. Gazprom’s revenue and profit under IFRS for the first half of the year were record-breaking, net profit amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles, and the dividend base was 2.4 trillion rubles, said Famil Sadigov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom.

“In the first half of 2022, the Gazprom Group showed record revenue and net profit under IFRS, while reducing net debt and debt burden to the lowest levels. The net profit indicator amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles. After applying adjustments for non-monetary items specified in the current Dividend Policy of the company, the size of the dividend base amounted to 2.4 trillion rubles,” said Sadigov, whose words are quoted in the Telegram channel of Gazprom.

Thus, the company’s net profit grew by almost 2.5 times compared to 995.521 billion rubles in the same period last year. The size of the dividend base increased by 2.8 times compared to 845 billion rubles in the first half of 2021.

At the end of June, Gazprom’s shareholders’ meeting decided not to pay dividends for last year. At the same time, in early July, the State Duma adopted a law that will increase this year the proceeds from the mineral extraction tax for Gazprom – by 1.248 trillion in three months – due to the tax surcharge.
