Customer Review 1: This card is fantastic… where do i start?… for anyone looking for a decent graphics card is, this dude games great you won’t regret it if you buy it. First off, the card is much bigger than it looks in the pictures, luckily my tower had no problems for room, i specifically purchased a tower to accommodate my Gigabyte 960 4GB 3 fan G1 card so it fit with room to spare.

However, i would advise anyone wanting this card to make certain you have the room for it in your case, I’m sure most of you already know that. It’s not as long as my Gigabyte card but it’s very close, and it’s wide, quite the card indeed. I like my 960, it does a decent job for gaming, but after firing this feller up, i’d bet it’s nearly twice the card as the 960 is.

In Crysis 3 with everything cranked up to max settings, the game played with absolutely no lag, got average 55 to 60 fps easily, even more at times, but I can only see 60 fps from MSI afterburner and I had vertical sync turned on due to my not so high priced monitor.

For any potential buyers looking for a 1060, do yourself a huge favor and save up if you have to, but get this 6GB version, do NOT get the 3GB version card, there’s quite a bit of difference with the 6GB card, a lot of the newer games are becoming Vram hogs so you’re gonna need the 6GB version if you plan on gaming for recent and future games.

Customer Review 2: I installed this in my 2 year old Dell Inspiron with i7-4790 and 16 GB RAM. I just upgraded to SSD. I thought this would be better than buying a PS4 or XBOX1 to play games. I had to remove some interior brackets and relocate the SSD since the Inspiron case wasn’t designed for this video card form factor. I also upgraded to a 600 watt power supply, since the stock Dell power supply is only 350 watts without the necessary video card power connector. So far, I’ve been playing DOOM at ULTRA quality settings and Tekken 7 at max quality with no slowdown. I use this with a 1080p monitor and read it is all I need. Highly recommended if you are in a similar situation.

Customer Review 3: Quick note before I begin: I purchased one of these for $240 right before GPU prices got whacked up due to miners. Prices have slowly started to settle back down, but it’ll still take some time for things to normalize again. I’d say if you can find a 1060 6GB model like this for $250, buy it. If it’s more than that, I’d wait or look elsewhere.

This is the GPU I picked out for my first PC build, with my particular model being the 6GT OCV1. Part of me wishes I’d gone with a Gaming X version since it’d fit the black/red color scheme I got going, but at the time I didn’t feel like spending a few extra bucks was worth the aesthetics. And besides, the performance I’ve gotten out of this card has been pretty solid, especially considering what I’ve read on GPUs.

If you’re looking for a strong 1080p gaming card, you really can’t go wrong with a 1060. Doom on Ultra settings almost never dips below triple-digits; Witcher 3 you can almost max out while achieving a framerate in the high 40’s to mid 70’s. I also highly recommend overclocking your GPU; I added 140/350 MHz to the core/memory clocks, which almost always translates to over 2000 MHz clock speed and the card never gets hotter than 80 degrees, even during benchmarks. If you’re looking to dabble in 1440p, you can probably get away with it on older, less demanding games, but if you’re looking to keep up with current and upcoming games at that resolution, the 1070 should be your bare minimum.
