Gigabyte makes Mini ITX of Geforce GTX 1070

Nvidia’s lower performance model Geforce GTX 1070 has been on the market for a little over a month, but Gigabyte has already had time to shrink the Pascal-based circuit to a format that is no longer than 17 centimeters. This means that the card follows the Mini ITX format and can thus give compact HTPC systems a real performance boost.

The card in question is called Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 Mini ITX OC and as the name suggests, the model comes with factory overclocking. The default frequencies in Gaming mode are 1,531 MHz (1,721 MHz Boost) and in OC mode these run off to 1,556 MHz (1,746 MHz Boost). To activate the OC mode, however, Gigabyte’s software must be used.

To cool the compact creation, the company uses a 90 millimeter fan and three copper pipes for heat dissipation. The power supply takes place over 5 + 1 phases, compared to the reference model of GTX 1070 which runs with 4 + 1 phases. The card’s 8 GB GDDR5 memory runs at 8,008 MHz effective speed.

At present, there is no concrete information about when the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 Mini ITX OC will be available at Swedish retailers or which price tag will apply.
