God of War will also arrive with the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution

After announcing the God of War for PC, one of the news was that it would arrive with the technologies Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and Reflex from Nvidia, although we now know that users with AMD Radeon graphics will be able to enjoy the technology FidelityFX Super Resolution, which is helpful when thinking about older GPUs that have to run this game in decent visual quality while still offering the fluidity expected from a PC game.

We are thrilled to announce that God of War (2018) is coming to PC on January 14, 2022! All of us at Santa Monica Studio are humbled by the immense amount of support and passion that fans of the God of War series have shown for the latest chapter in Kratos’ story since its launch. As of August 2021, 19.5 million copies of God of War had been sold on PlayStation 4 and we can’t wait to share that experience with a new group of gamers on PC.

Our primary goal in bringing God of War to PC was to highlight the exceptional content the team created and to leverage the powerful hardware the platform offers to create a unique, impressive, and high-performance version of the game.

You’ll be able to enjoy the full potential of our seamless cinematic camera as you follow Kratos and Atreus through the realms with the option of True 4K resolution, on supported devices, and with unlocked framerates.

Our PC version includes a wide range of graphic presets and options so you can adjust your viewing experience based on your settings. From higher resolution shadows and improved reflections in screen space to improvements in the ambient occlusion process with GTAO and SSDO, God of War on PC can create a stunning and unique visual quality for the platform.

Finally, the purchase of God of War on PC will also include the following digital content

  • Death Vow armor sets for Kratos and Atreus
  • Exile Guardian Shield
  • Escudo Buckler of the Forge
  • Shining Elf Soul Shield Skin
  • Dökkenshieldr’s Shield Skin

That’s all we have for now. We’ll have more details to share in the coming months as we get closer to launch on January 14, 2022.

We appreciate your continued support for God of War and hope that this version of the game creates a unique cinematic experience for God of War fans, both returning and new. “
