We highly recommend to users who have opened Trinity (Desktop and Mobile) since December 17, 2019 to use the tool and migrate their tokens to a new safe seed during the migration period, ”warns the foundation.
Note that users of hardware portfolios Ledger Nano X and Nano S will not need to use the migration tool. A change of password is nevertheless recommended.
The coordinator, the network security mechanism IOTA, is currently still at a standstill, preventing any operation on the IOTA blockchain.
After the migration process, we will restart the coordinator and operations will resume normally on the network, ”concludes the foundation.
