Huawei has decided to sell used smartphones. They are certified and HarmonyOS

Refurbished smartphones are nothing new. Many manufacturers choose to recycle used phones in such a way, thanks to which more people can afford to buy such a device. Now Huawei has also decided to go this way.

Manufacturers like Apple have long been offering refurbished smartphones. Such devices are brought back to life and put into circulation at a low cost. This allows to reduce the amount of electro-waste and expand the customer base, because refurbished smartphones are cheaper than new ones, which means that many more people can afford to buy them.

Huawei decided to follow in the footsteps of the competition and introduced used smartphones for sale in the VMALL.com store. Before offering them to customers, rigorous tests are carried out, batteries are replaced, and the HarmonyOS system is loaded. The devices also get a certificate and a one-year warranty. The offer includes such models as: P30, P30 Pro, Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro. For the cheapest of them, the Huawei P30 in the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 64GB versions, you have to pay 2799 yuan (convert to US dollar) (about PLN 1685).

Huawei seems to be trying to make up for losses due to US sanctions. Sales of their smartphones have dropped sharply, fewer devices are being introduced to the market, and the latest ones are also not doing as well as the company would like them to. For now, the Huawei Certified Second Phone series is available for sale only in China. Will the refurbished devices reach other markets over time? Unfortunately, we do not know this, although it may be expected that it is not.
