SIMFEROPOL, 1 Sep — PRIME. Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, wrote on his Telegram channel that, according to unconfirmed reports, the fifth power unit of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant could be turned off after shelling by Kyiv military formations. He added that the emergency protection had worked.

Rogov also noted that the ZNPP-330 kV auxiliary power supply line was damaged.
Earlier, the authorities of the region reported that the fifth and sixth power units remained in operation at the nuclear power plant, operating at 60% and 80% of capacity.
