The large Indian automaker Tata Motors has launched a development program for startups, within which it plans to introduce blockchain and other technologies into internal business processes.
With the help of the Tata Motors AutoMobility Collaboration Network 2.0 program, the company will help start-ups developing systems using new technologies, be it artificial intelligence or blockchain.
The automaker plans to use blockchain solutions in various areas of design, assembly and operation of vehicles. One of such applications could be a service for booking a parking lot or tracking fuel quality at various gas stations.
“Now almost every automotive component has its own history of innovation. In this era of uncertainty and rapid change, we need to continue to use new technologies, while introducing them both on our own and with the help of external partners, ”said Shailesh Chandra, President of Electric Vehicles and Corporate Strategy at Tata Motors.
Jaguar Land Rover recently launched
wallet testing on the IOTA blockchain. Following the final launch of the initiative, drivers will receive IOTA coins for providing driving data.
