On January 4, we should look forward to the official presentation of new Intel processors and accompanying motherboards. As is usually the case, however, there will be a lot of leaks sooner, and so will this time as we can take a premature look at pictures of MSI B660 motherboards.
Let’s start with those discs whose photos have leaked, and we’re talking about MAG B660 Tomahawk, MAG B660M Mortar, MAG B660M Bazooka and Pro B660M-A DDR4. Each of these models is compatible with the DDR4 standard and has 12-phase power sections that power two 8-pin power connectors. On paper, they should therefore handle the entire spectrum of processors – up to the i9-12900K in terms of their energy base.
All four boards are based on a 6-layer laminate, an extensive I / O panel, heat sink on the power section and main M.2 drives, the EZ M.2 system for faster disk mounting, or a 2.5 GB Ethernet connection. The Pro model shown above is definitely the least impressive among the four, but on the other hand, it will cost $ 189 according to an earlier leak (via Wccftech).
The more expensive disc is to be MAG Bazooka DDR4 ($ 179), MAG Mortar WiFi DDR4 ($ 219), and finally MAG Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 ($ 239). This is the entire list of CDs in MSI’s plans:
