Microsoft and Aeternity support Maltese blockchain startups

Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) has partnered with the Aeternity project to develop and support Maltese blockchain startups.

According to a press release, MIC and Aeternity AE Ventures investment unit are organizing blockchain-oriented events in the region, which will support Malta’s image as a technology-friendly jurisdiction.

Aeternity Starfleet’s global accelerator program has carefully analyzed over 100 blockchain startups around the world and selected the 15 most trustworthy projects to take part in the first event, scheduled for November.

The weekly training program, which will be led by industry experts, is designed to provide high-quality materials, instructions, lectures, seminars and practical knowledge needed by startups for successful development. MIC Head Mary Downing noted:

“After the hype surrounding the blockchain in recent years, it’s time to dispel all doubts that skeptics may still have about technology. Support for Aeternity and MIC will not only provide more flexible development of new technologies, but also provide an opportunity to promote the blockchain. ”

If everything goes according to plan, MIC and AE Ventures plan to organize an additional five weeks of mentoring for 10 more blockchain startups, upon completion of which projects will receive $ 100,000 in AE tokens, as well as an additional six months of mentoring and participation in the program.

Recall that in October, the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), with the support of Microsoft and Intel, created a system to promote and stimulate tokens of companies within the consortium. In addition, in July it became known that KPMG, Microsoft and R3 will create a blockchain for billing in telecommunications.
