Ministry of Digital Development: IT companies from new territories have the right to receive accreditation

MOSCOW, 20 Oct – PRIME. IT companies from the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are eligible for accreditation, and their employees, if accredited, will be entitled to a deferment from partial mobilization, said Maksut Shadayev, head of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.

“Technically, in order for them to apply, the company must be accredited. We opened accreditation a week ago. I don’t remember if there are companies that have applied. So, they have all the rights, of course, as citizens of Russia. Obviously, before them companies were not accredited. And now we need to first accredit the company, and then apply,” Shadayev said, answering a question from journalists about the possibility of obtaining a deferment from partial mobilization by IT specialists in the annexed territories.

The day before, the head of the ministry told RIA Novosti that the infrastructure development plan for launching the Gosuslug portal in the new territories of Russia would be ready by mid-November.

Earlier in October, the Russian government approved new rules for the accreditation of IT companies. According to the new rules for state accreditation in the register of IT companies, the organization’s revenue from activities in the field of information technology must be at least 30% of the total revenue.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of the referendums, after which he signed agreements with the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions on the admission of regions to Russia. A few days later, the head of state signed federal laws ratifying the admission of these regions to the Russian Federation.
