The Police Pension Fund and the Fairfax Citizens Pension Fund have invested about $ 50 million in the Morgan Creek Digital cryptocurrency fund. This is 2 times the investment in the first Morgan Creek cryptocurrency fund, which was launched earlier this year. The cryptocurrency fund also received funding from Wakemed Health and Hospitals, an insurance company and a university fund.
Morgan Creek Capital partner Anthony Pompliano (Anthony Pompliano) said that it is planned to raise $ 250 million for a new cryptocurrency fund. An investment acceptance end date has not yet been determined.
“We constantly hear that the institutional is not interested, but investments in our funds and our negotiations with dozens of other institutions show that this is not so,” said Pompliano.
