MSI unveils GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti AERO ITX graphics cards

The Taiwanese company MSI announced the GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics accelerators as part of the AERO ITX line. Outwardly, the new items do not differ, and the difference between the video cards lies in the technical parameters.

MSI GeForce RTX 3060 AERO ITX is based on the GA106-300 video chip with 3584 stream processors, 112 texture units and 64 rendering units. The nominal GPU frequency is 1320 MHz. In Boost mode, it rises to 1777 MHz. The chip is connected to 12 GB of GDDR6 video memory via a 192-bit bus. Effective VRAM frequency is 15 GHz. The AERO ITX OC version has everything the same, but the peak GPU frequency is increased by 0.8% and is 1792 MHz.

MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti AERO ITX uses GA104-200 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores. The number of texture units is 152, and 80 rasterization units are provided. The chip operates at a frequency from 1410 MHz to 1665 MHz. We also note 8 GB VRAM of the GDDR6 standard, a 256-bit memory bus and an effective frequency of 14 GHz. The AERO ITX version has a chip with a maximum frequency of 1695 MHz (+ 1.8%).

Both new products received support for 4K ULTRA HD at 120 Hz. An HDMI 2.1 port is provided for this. Also in the list of interfaces there are three Display Port connectors. The dimensions of each model are 172 x 125 x 43 mm. At the same time, the GeForce RTX 3060 weighs 503 grams, and the Ti version was 56 grams heavier (559 grams).

The cost of the GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti AERO ITX has not yet been specified. MSI also does not disclose the date of the start of sales of new video cards.
