MOSCOW, 7 Sep — PRIME. Ngovatek does not expect a significant drop in world gas prices until at least the first half of 2025, CEO Leonid Mikhelson said at the WEF.
Novatek plans to launch the first Arctic LNG-2 line in 2023
“Unfortunately, I see that in 2023, 2024 and at least half of 2025 – nothing super-large in terms of falling prices (for gas – ed.) will happen,” the businessman said.
He added that Novatek is interested in participating in the Sakhalin-2 project. The company will ask the Russian government to thoroughly conduct its own audit, and then make a decision, Mikhelson said.
The WEF takes place on September 5-8 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island in Vladivostok. RIA Novosti acts as the general media partner of the forum.
