The information comes from Nvidia, which announces that partner-made versions of the mid-range Geforce GTX 1060 card will be available from 19 July. The partner manufacturers listed include Asus, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Inno3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.
The target prices for the partner-made cards will be SEK 2,899, which may, however, be somewhat higher at Swedish retailers. The price for the Founders Edition variant of the Geforce GTX 1060 is stated as 319 Euro, but this will only be available for purchase in Nvidia’s web shop in the UK, Germany and France.
In terms of price, Nvidia’s contribution in the middle segment will be at least a few hundred bucks above the competitor AMD Radeon RX 480, now it remains to be seen how the two graphics card families stand against each other from the perspective of price versus performance.
