With a number of launches in the upper performance tier, Nvidia has reaped great success with its new Kepler graphics architecture. The competitor AMD, however, controls the middle segment with an iron fist where the company’s model Radeon HD 7870 rules in the price range. However, the green team is not on the lazy side and is now launching the Geforce GTX 660 with the slim graphics processor GK106 under the hood.
The model is set directly against the Radeon HD 7870 in the battle for the lucrative middle segment. Three different models from as many manufacturers have landed in SweClocker’s test lab and have had to go through the editorial staff’s rigorous test suite. The question is whether Nvidia has what it takes to beat AMD’s fingers in the price range?
