Proshop has received zero Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 from partner manufacturers

It has been a historic autumn in the process of launching with several exciting and highly sought-after products from AMD and Nvidia. The extremely low availability of graphics cards in particular is also historic. Even the most avid enthusiasts who hang on to the lock, and persistently wait for stock balance updates, have a hard time getting a product.

Proshop in Germany now publishes delivery figures for AMD’s and Nvidia’s latest generation graphics cards. It is clear that they both have difficulty delivering enough graphics cards to meet demand, which is especially true of partner-made Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT. The conclusion so far is that not a single one has been delivered to the dealer and that only 22 pieces are available.

The Radeon graphics cards that came in are from AMD’s reference design only. These are exactly 100 Radeon RX 6800s and only 25 copies of the RX 6800 XT. The volumes are completely in line with information SweClockers received from the current allocation to resellers on the launch day. In other words, Proshop has not received a single graphics card since November 18.

Exactly one week after AMD’s launch of the reference models, sales of partner graphics card manufacturers took place. As Proshop, which is a large retailer in Germany, did not get a single one, Sweden and the Nordic countries can be considered lucky, as only a handful of graphics cards were in store on 25 November. AMD’s own explanation for the shortcoming is “unparalleled” demand.

The graphics card manufacturer Nvidia is clearly the best in its class, which with AMD’s non-volumes does not say much. The number of orders from customers clearly exceeds the number of graphics cards received in total. Then there is probably also a large pent-up demand from customers who, due to the shortage, have chosen to wait to place an order.

Unlike AMD, Proshop receives graphics cards from Nvidia and its partner manufacturers, but in most cases, the next delivery is ready during the orders that are placed. However, there are also models with orders on them, where not a single graphics card has been received or where some units have been confirmed for delivery.

Do you belong to the group that tried to buy a new graphics card during the autumn? Are you queuing with an order or are you waiting for actual delivery? Discuss!
