Radeon RX 460 is relaunched by Radeon RX 560D

With the Radeon RX 480, the hardware giant AMD intended to take gaming in VR to the broad masses through lower prices than the competitors. The concept has contributed to more market shares for AMD, but the energy efficiency of the RX 400 series was lower than with the corresponding cards from Nvidia. Ten months later, all the cards in this series received an optimized counterpart in the RX 500 series, including the Radeon RX 560.

Now the Radeon RX 460 is being relaunched a third time, but again with a new name; Radeon RX 560D. Despite the name, the card has less in common with the Radeon RX 560 than its predecessor, due to the decline of a circuit with 896 active stream processors. That is, as many as the Radeon RX 460, but 128 fewer than its upgraded variant.

According to the Chinese news site Mydrivers, AMD has a large stock of graphics cards from the budget spectrum in the RX 400 series. The same source also states that the cards can have an energy consumption 50 percent lower than at the first launch.

Like the RX 470D graphics card, the RX 560D is expected to target mainly the Asian market and whether it will be available in other regions is not yet known. Specifications regarding memory speed and the like are still unknown, as well as launch date and pricing.
