BRUSSELS, September 13 — PRIME. The European Union may limit the volume of gas supplies from Russia in late autumn, a source in the EU told RIA Novosti.
The source noted that the European Commission is exploring opportunities to reduce Russian gas supplies, while not forcing countries that are still heavily dependent on it to do so.
“It is possible that a restriction on Russian gas imports, similar to the EU’s ban on oil supplies, will become part of a future package of sanctions against Russia, especially towards the end of autumn, when storage capacity will reach its maximum,” he added.
